Sixthman’s domestic home port of Miami brings escapes for guests to dream destinations in the Virgin Islands, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, and The Bahamas.

MISSION:

The Events Team intern will assist Sixthman’s Community Managers and Event Managers in creating world class vacations at sea. The Intern will support our team of Community Managers who engage with our various communities, set the vision for each event, and deliver a guest experience which will create memories that last a lifetime! The Intern will also support the Event Management team in their efforts to lead communications and event planning with our Host artist and brand partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assisting with projects for numerous pieces of event planning – activity creation, theme night preparation, etc

· Provide support for event communities in Facebook through member management and approval, answering questions, etc.

· Deep diving into various event concepts to learn more about potential guest communities

· Analyzing and distilling guest feedback to spark new ideas and improve future events

· Assisting with creation of daily schedules and documents for Event Manager tour books prior to each sailing

· Compiling / Updating historical data trackers for events including past theme nights, talent, experience, gifting, etc.

· Assisting Event team at Community Meet Ups and on site activations.

· Attending weekly Events Team, Event Manager, and Community Manager department meetings

· Sitting in on partner planning calls and schedule meetings as requested

· Compiling historical data and feedback from post-event surveys

· Various administrative projects as tasked by Events Team

· Additional projects and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • This is an unpaid internship. Applicants must be enrolled in college & able to receive academic credit to apply.
  • Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, or similar fields of study are preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and research ability
  • Skilled survey analyzer (familiar with Survey Monkey specifically is a plus)
  • Talented creative writer
  • Ability to think outside of the box and brainstorm ideas
  • Knowledge of social media
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency (Email, Word, and Excel skills)
  • Must furnish own laptop for in office work
  • Must be located in the Greater Atlanta Area & able to commute to the Sixthman office.
